More than 70 poker players’ accounts have recently frozen after the investigation carried out by the FBI. The investigation showed that some of the online gambling providers used fraud techniques and were involved in criminal activities. The sites of such famous companies as Absolute Poker, PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker were seized by the FBI, 5 of them still not working:

The notices of the sites say that they were closed by the FBI for illegal gambling activities. 11 people were charged of illegal activities connected with fraudulent transfers to casino sites and some more are under suspicion. According to the laws of the USA, both the providers of illegal gambling services and all the people engaged in such deals violate federal laws and can be sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment and a $250K fine.

The funds of these online gambling services providers are currently reviewed by the FBI and won’t be available till the end of the investigation. Full Tilt, Absolute Poker and PokerStars are accused of
breaking the US law taken in 2006. According to it, all the banks were forbidden to process payments to offshore casino and other gambling web sites. The FBI states that the above mentioned companies used tricks and fraudulent technologies to cheat the banks and make them process the transfers for their sites.
